"I Just Want to Pee":

Minnesota's Restroom Policies and their Impact on Transgender Students

In 2017, I was selected for Hamline University's Diversity Initiatives Collaborative Research Grant. Under the supervision of Dr. Máel Sheridan Embser-Herbert, I conducted 12 in-depth interviews with transgender students between the ages of 16-22 to understand their experiences with their schools' restroom policies.

 

My research was cited on page 10 of this complaint by ACLU of Minnesota in a district court case.
